Blackberry, Almond, and Goat Cheese Toast

Hello Summer! And hello yummy Blackberry, Almond, and Goat Cheese Toast! This insanely good and super healthy recipe is one of my families favorites. We love them for breakfast, snack, brunch and lunch.

I adore this recipe because it is easy, pretty, and functional! Plus, it’s packed with antioxidants and fiber.

Blackberries are rich in many vitamins and minerals, particularly Vitamin C.

One serving of blackberries contain 35% of an your recommended daily allowance (RDA) of vitamin C and since humans cannot synthesize our own vitamin C, it is essential to include in our diets.

Vitamin C is involved in protein synthesis and is necessary for the production of collagen (which keeps you looking young and fresh) and certain neurotransmitters. And why is this important….these processes are vital for bodily functions like wound healing and tissue growth.

Also…how cute is that honey comb stick?! You can pick this one up on Amazon here!

Ingredients for my blackberry, almond, and goat cheese toast

Blackberries – I mean…this list is endless. First, blackberries are among the most nutrient-dense berries. A 1-cup serving of blackberries contains 4 grams of fiber, 24% RDI of Vitamin C, and 36% RDI of Vitamin K. Blackberries are also roughly 75% water and an entire cup contains only 85 calories, with 15 grams of carbohydrates.

Honey – High-quality (delicious) honey contains many important antioxidants. They include organic acids and phenolic compounds like flavonoids.

Almond – The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in almonds can provide important health benefits. For example, manganese helps the body properly clot blood, allowing it to heal after injuries. Manganese also helps the body break down carbohydrates and cholesterol. Almond is also rich in magnesium, which can help you better control your blood sugar levels.
